From history…
The principles of mesotherapy were discovered over three thousand years ago. Hippocrates, an ancient Greek physician, demonstrated that inserting a needle in the local intradermal could relieve joint pain. The procedure has experienced a resurgence of popularity in the 20th century. Dr. Michel Pistor, a French doctor began to use it as a treatment method in France in 1952.
The treatment
Mesotherapy is an injection method that introduces small doses of active substances in the middle layers of the skin to activate intercellular processes. This improves cellular metabolism and regeneration. The injected formula includes vitamins, nucleic acids, amino acids, enzymes and more rejuvenates the cells, making them more active, and thereby stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, promotes lymph drainage and cellular growth. The quality of your skin will be improved from the inside out with mesotherapy.
Another newer procedure is Bio-revitalisation to boost levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin. This is another important component of the skin that helps to maintain firmness and texture. Throughout the ageing process levels of hyaluronic acid decrease, and it is claimed that injecting more hyaluronic acid into the dermal layers (just below the surface of the skin) helps to stimulate more collagen production, which, in turn, improves skin tone and helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Mesotherapy reduce or eliminate cellulite and fat. Mesotherapy treats three factors involved in cellulite formation. Your doctor creates a specific formula to reduce the fat in your cellulite, improve impaired circulation and break down damaged connective tissue – thereby smoothing the skin’s surface. Mesotherapy can treat cellulite located anywhere on the body.

The problem
The ageing process can be cruel to our skin. Between sun damage and progressive collagen loss, the skin loses its plumpness and resiliency. The cosmetic conditions, including acne, cellulite, stretch marks, scars and wrinkles.
What are the benefits of Mesotherapy over surgical techniques such as liposuction?
Liposuction does not treat cellulite. In fact, liposuction often causes existing cellulite to appear more prominent. Mesotherapy treats cellulite directly, promoting smoother skin and reducing fat in selected areas. Fat deposits are flushed from the body, and do not reappear in other areas, which often occurs after liposuction. Mesotherapy does not require hospitalisation, general anaesthesia or downtime.
The results
Mesotherapy for skin revitalisation infuses the dermal layer of the skin with a potent cocktail of vitamins and anti-oxidants to rejuvenate and revitalise, regenerated skin to hide the signs of ageing. The procedure is low-impact and highly efficient, your skin will appear more radiated and refreshed. After treatment, clients commonly describe their skin as looking rested, radiant, glowing and firmer.

What does it involve?
The practitioner will apply an anaesthetic cream to your skin for 45-60 minutes before your treatment to numb the treatment area. Mesotherpy in the treatment of ageing skin aims to replace minerals, vitamins and amino acids that are found in lower levels in skin, which lessen as we age. It involves the injection of a specially prepared mixture of medications, placed just under the skin into the problematic area. Just a “drop” of solution is used at each injection site. The idea is that you can get these active substances to the site requiring treatment by directly injecting them there.
How does the treatment work?
Multiple injections using a very fine needle are administered immediately beneath the surface of the skin. It will help to improve circulation, replace lost vitamins, minerals and amino acids, or boost levels of hyaluronic acid.
Downtime
After the treatment you can go back to your daily activities almost immediately. Possible side effects are small bruises, which vanish in a few days, and a little swelling in the injected area, which remains for about 12 – 36 hours.
